Welcome to the PNU EU Center.

It is a great privilege for me to establish PNU EU Center in Pusan National University. As all of you are aware, international relation between Korea and EU is now faced with several challenges. The European Union and Korea have forged strong bonds of partnership over the past four decades. The EU has served an exemplary model for Korea in various areas - politics, economy, culture and education.

By collaborating with the partnership, the PNU EU Center will actively support EU-related education and research, promote the importance of EU in Korea and develop Korea-EU relations. The PNU EU Center aims at enhancing depth of awareness and knowledge of the EU in the support for EU-focused curriculum development and research, outreach activities and academic links with the EU, and coordination with other centers. So we will strengthen this relationship to further promote cooperation and friendship across the areas of education, economy, and culture recognized as a key center in Korea.

The PNU EU Center will coordinate all teaching, research and outreach activities in EU affairs under EU center umbrella, and mobilize all human and financial resources through its diverse existing networks, and thereby maximize synergy effects. We hope you will join us in providing important implications for the future direction of the PNU EU center.
